Paige Clem's Songbirds in the Round w/ Nikki Borodi, Deborah Crooks, and Ziva Hadar

Paige Clem

Paige performs her original material as a solo artist and in Clem & Them--a blues and Americana music project that gathers immensely experienced players with Paige's soulful songwriting prowess. Recent performances include High Sierra Music Festival Troubadour Sessions (with Nataly Dawn, Lebo, and Bo Carper), Cuko Rakko Music Festival, The Lost Church, and Mutiny Radio. Her bluesy yet melodic approach to song has been shared from the stage at many of the Bay Area’s most popular haunts, including The Great American Music Hall, Terrapin Crossroads, Freight & Salvage, Ashkenaz, Sweetwater Music Hall, Brick & Mortar, and more and she has served as songwriter-in-residency at The Bazaar Cafe.

Nikki Borodi:

Nikki Borodi is a musician, clown, aerial acrobatic, yoga instructor and artist of countless dimensions. After many years in New York City she is happy to be in the bay area inspired by it's community, nature and spirit. Her time is spent hanging upside down from silks or someone else's feet, entertaining children at parties, teaching at Laughing Lotus SF and writing music with voice, ukulele and piano. She enjoys experimenting with joining her many creative loves and is in the works of writing a circus rock show to inspire people to manifest their dreams. Please find her on Youtube and Facebook!

Deborah Crooks:

Deborah Crooks has recorded three full-length CDs (including 2013's "Little Bird") of her original music drawing on folk, rock, Americana and the blues, as well as several collaborative projects, including the upcoming KCDC Your Own Reaction CD. She's performed throughout the US, had her songs included on the RockerGirl Discoveries CD and placed on the PBS series RoadTrip Nation and spoken about songwriting and creativity at SXSW and MacWorld. When she's not writing and performing, you can find her practicing Ashtanga yoga, looking for birds along the coast and mulling her next trip to India.

srael born, SF based singer-songwriter Ziva, has been writing songs and performing around the Bay Area for the past 5 years. After fronting her own band for 4 years, and playing notable venues such as Slim's, The Independent, Yoshi's and Cafe du Nord, she now performs solo.

She released 'Just Another Night', early 2012. The self produced EP is a collection of 5 powerful, anthemic, jazz-tinged, piano driven rock ballads.

Nowadays, she prefers a more minimalist sound, accompanying herself with an acoustic guitar, performing original songs and covers that would be best described as jazz-tinged acoustic soul.

Trained in classical music and jazz, both vocally and instrumentally, as well as having fronted 2 popular funk bands back in her homeland, has made Ziva an incredibly versatile vocalist. Her voice is dimensional and sure from its deepest brooding lows, through soft and caressing mids, to fierce highs and everything in between.
